What is Tactical Media? Tactical media is a phrase that has been around since 1966 and can be defined as "a form of media activism that privileges temporary, hit-and-run interventions in the media sphere over the creation of permanent and alternative media outlets"(En.wikipedia.org, 2018) The purpose of tactical media lies with the type of information that it produces, it is generally a way of reversing the one-way-flow of communication between corporations and the public, and bringing balance and/or a retaliation from the public. Smart Everything: Machine Sensing and Awareness Concept

My Concept: For this topic I have come up with the concept of a smart dog collar which communicates to the owner through a smart phone app, sending notifications when it is time to feed your dog, or display statistics about your walks, how long, how many calories etc or when it is time for a walk or a treat. Allowing the user to personalise the experience by setting your dogs name through the app, so it is as if you are communicating with your dog. It can also allow for GPS tracking of your dog where-ever he is so you will not have to worry about ever losing him/her again. I believe the market is ready for something like this as I would personally use it after recently losing my dog, I can say it is not a pleasant experience, and using something like this will provide someone relatively new to owning a dog with a routine and discipline.  Concept App: Dog collar:
